NASA and Education Matters, Civility Counts Program

Hammond, IN:  On Friday May 14, 2015, THE NORTHSHORE AMATEUR SPORTS ACADEMY participated in a forum that promoted the value of education and civility to area students at the Purdue Northwest campus. Speakers included Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Kawaan Short and Methodist Hospital’s emergency room Dr. Michael McGee.

Students in grades 8-11 representing Hammond, East Chicago and Gary attended the event.

All participants agreed that respect and being disciplined are foundational characteristics that students could try to implement in their lives.
