Champaign, IL: On Saturday April 16, 2016, THE NORTHSHORE AMATEUR SPORTS ACADEMY participated in a clinic for the First String Little League in Champaign, Illinois. The clinic was ran by NASA board member and former professional baseball player Dr. Preston L. Williams, Jr.
All players participated in numerous drills that included warm-ups, fielding, hitting and baserunning. The session concluded with coaches giving life skills advice for on and off the field situations.for the thirty five girl and boys in attendance.
The Northshore Amateur Sports Academy, a non-profit organization that provides local youths the opportunity to learn sportsmanship, teamwork and citizenship through sport. The NASA also promotes character development through sporting activities, lifelong physical fitness, a drug-free lifestyle and safe and fun access to healthy activities.
