NASA congratulates local partner Rose Joiner, regional club director of the Boys & Girls Club, who was named a 2019 Maytag Dependable Leader. The award recognizes Boys & Girls Clubs staff and volunteers who are committed to making a difference as dependable and exceptional role models. Through a national partnership, Maytag and Boys & Girls Clubs of America selected Joiner to receive this year’s distinction, which includes a $20,000 grant for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana. The grant will be used for the John Will Anderson Boys & Girls Club in Gary to start and staff an all-girls STEM program led by Joiner. Way to go Rose.
